1. Overview
Carousela ("the App") helps you design social media carousels and, optionally, drafts the text for them using AI. This policy explains exactly what is and isn't sent off your device.
2. What Is Sent for AI Generation
When you use the "Write with AI" feature, only the topic text you type (plus your chosen voice, style, and slide count) is sent to our processing service (a Cloudflare Worker) and, through it, to a third-party AI model provider (OpenRouter) solely to generate the slide text you requested. We show a consent notice before your first AI generation.
Your photos are never sent. Images you add to slides stay on your device. The App has no account and does not upload your library.
3. What Is NOT Collected
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or location. There are no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that identify you. The topic text is used only to return your generated slides and is not used to build a profile of you or to train models by us.
4. Retention
Topic text is processed transiently to produce your result. Our proxy keeps only minimal, non-identifying operational logs (e.g. request timing) for reliability and abuse prevention. The AI provider processes the request under its own privacy terms; we do not use your topic to train models, and we do not sell it.
5. Stored on Your Device
Your projects, slides, photos, and settings are stored locally on your device and are removed when you delete the App.
6. In-App Purchases
Carousela Pro is an auto-renewing subscription processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
